the series explores
the mysticality
of earth,
through a
transcendence and
transportation
into
reimagined
ideas
of
life.

series

Having been inspired by The Textility of Making by Tim Ingold,
which explains how the creative process seeks to embrace material possibilities and transformations,
the series explores the freedoms embedded within material processes. The expanding foam works in direct correlation to Ingold’s intuitive perception of making, as through the unpredictability of the foam the pieces, whilst structured, are transformed and almost ruled by its decisions.

The whimsicality of the series aims to emulate utopias through soft, yet psychedelic imagery, whilst each investigating the
fragility of nature.
